French Word of the Day: Parapluie

In French Parapluie is pronounced: PAR ah ploo ee

In English Parapluie is pronounced: Umbrella

Para (alongside) + pluie (rain)

Learning French is easy if you know how.

8 years of French taught in the Public school system and all I can remember is the useless stuff like "Fermer la porte" and "ouvre la fenetre".

However, it does assist me greatly in understanding Spanish in my travels south.
