It Could Happen To You

This is about two people in a loving, committed, six year relationship. They shared a mortgage, a business and a life together.  See how this went tragically wrong and how we all had it, and still have it, within our power to stop this kind of heartbreak.  Shane is telling his story and I'm sharing it.

I watched that last night. Tragic. Mr. Bridegroom's parents should be ashamed of themselves. They could have kept a part of their son alive by maintaining a relationship with his significant other.

I watched this the other night as well. It's heartbreaking and wrong. The fact that the mother was more concerned for her son's money and possessions speaks volumes of her character.

I don't even have words. How a family can do this to someone they "love" is appalling to me.

That was heartbreaking. The ignorance that Tom's family displayed is truly astounding. Sadly is it not uncommon. Things need to change in this country. If you are willing to make a legal commitment to another person then you should be allowed to do so. You really can't pick your family, can you? I hope Shane will find peace in speaking out.
