Log cabin and tiny too? I need this place. Now. |
Tiny homes are all about efficient use of space and only having what you need. Tiny spaces don't mean you have to give up good things. You can still have a well appointed kitchen, you just have to arrange it better.
Here is a web site about tiny living spaces. It's called The Tiny Life and I got a lot of pics from him. Tiny House Blog is another place to check out small house designs.

I think these are so cleverly done. I love the concept, because I really love organization and with a home like this, organization is key. I also like financial aspect of this kind of living. The older I get, the less debt I feel comfortable having.
These are all just vacation/second homes or guest houses out back of the main house but adorable and for a cottage, this would do me just fine.

I love tiny homes and not just because of the miniatures. I think it is nice that they can widdle down their possessions to just what they need and live a good life .
OMG OMG OMG!!!!!!!!!
I absolutely ADORE tiny homes!!!! I'm going to that link!
I'm squeeing with delight.
Ann, for lack of a better place to say it, I wanted to let you know that I think I'm coming to Niagara Falls the week of July 4th. I thought about saying "I'm coming for you" and leaving it at that, but since you barely know me, I didn't want to scare your pants off.
I really, REALLY like the idea behind the bungalito. I think, after reading about it, that one might be my favorite after all.
OMG Angie...are you serious? Feel like meeting up with a virtual friend???
American Side? Canadian Side?

Hey Ann, I forwarded your email to Angie on facebook. Hope you two can arrange to get together!
I would enjoy that, as long as you promise not to tell the others how insane I am in real life.
But seriously, I want to be able to see both sides, but it will depend on if my spouse can get a passport in time. Doubtful, but worth trying.
I make no such promises!!
I'd love to show you around over here. If not re: the passport no worries would still love to meet up for a coffee whatever. Over here we are allowed to use a passport or these "enhanced" drivers licenses we have. Double check the US requirements.
Ann
We are going to the passport office tomorrow to see if we can't get it expedited. He's completely on board with the idea of just getting in the car and driving, so I'm starting to get excited about this. I'd love to be given a tour by a native!
Awesome Angie! Keep me posted! How long will you guys be here if/when you come? The border traffic on the actual weekend will be nuts of course. Its July 4th for you guys, Canada Day weekend for us on this side. Will be huge fireworks at the falls at 10:00 pm if your into that.

We plan to leave here on the 30th and meander up and thru Canada, hopefully finding lodging along the way. I'm not making any plans, any reservations. I'm probably going to get royally screwed. Anyway, we are shooting for Ontario on the 2nd. I'm not sure how long we're staying. If we run out of things to do, we'll head back to the states and maybe to the coast, but again, depends on how sick of the car we are.
Okay...US side...available accomodations out the Wazhoo...its just the way it is. Over here, some places might fill up but there are tonnes of hotels particularily if your not set on 4 or 5 star. And if you really want to get awkward, I have a guest room!!!! Nothing like staying with virtual strangers to make a road trip interesting. Let me know!!!
Ann
Well, change of plans. The passport is probably a no go, so we are going the opposite direction. Mt Rushmore, Pike's Peak, Grand Canyon, etc. Sorry Ann! Another time for sure.
We will be here. The Grand Canyon dwarfs the Falls in awesomeness anyway! Enjoy!
Tell me if you book a room at the hotel at the Grand Canyon. I can only imagine how gorgeous there at sunset/sunrise. Also drive thru Sedona if you get a chance. Gorgeous!
