Sam Spratt - Digital Art

Another note about my editing issues:

This is the best I could do. I had to copy the html code to a word document and edit from there, then copy that and paste it back here. The Louis CK picture did not make the edit so it's bigger than the rest of the pictures and I'm just leaving it like that. Blogger has reverted back to showing my preview in the same window as my draft - yeah that's a big help, thanks.

Update: I went to the html interface and found the Louis CK code and edited by scrolling until I positioned it in between two of the superimposed photos. So hah! blogger or whatever entity is responsible for this stupidity.

From his about page:
Sam is a 23 year-old New York-based artist who graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2010 with a BFA in illustration. He immediately began work as Gawker Media's first-ever staffed illustrator where, over the course of 9 months, he created hundreds of on-demand illustrations and editorial packages that brought art to the world of tech-journalism and the media giant.

His imagery runs the gamut from fine-art portraiture, to fantastical creatures and surrealism, to classical treatments of web and pop culture, and is deeply integrated into the beat of The Internet. Tens of thousands of people follow his social media presence devoutly as he generates viral illustrations on a regular basis--seen and shared by millions of people. His work has caught the attention of the public but also art critics as well as mainstream publications with interviews in places like Maxim, The Daily Dot, and MTV. His technique is built off of oil-painting training in classical/Baroque methods and translated to the fast-paced digital world.

This is Sam Spratt
This is his website. There are a lot more images there.

Here is a video of Spratt creating The Smoker
